Default Fog Nightmare map locations?

I'm going to start farming Fog Nightmares for dust, and I've searched for them and such...found their locations on Wiki:
* North Kryta Province
* Kessex Peak
* Majesty's Rest
* The Black Curtain
* Talmark Wilderness
* Riverside Province
but what I need are screens of specific locations where large groups can be found. If anybody could show me some good locations to farm I'd be grateful. TY in advance.

Talmark Wilderness is full of a bunch of other crap too though, and the fog nightmares are way spread out. If you want concentrated Fog Nightmares, head south from ToA and follow the southeastern winding path until you get to a poison river with two bridges running over it, go straight south from there and there is an area there with well over 30 Fog Nightmares. BTW, what exactly do you plan to kill these things with? It's not a warrior is it?

Talmark Wilderness is filled with Fog Nightmares, Forest Minatours (which are great for farming sickles), those tree people, Skales, Mergargoyles, and Fire imps.

Hmm yap I just did a run through there on my tank, killed everything no prob, but that's only 1 or 2 nightmares at a time. They are way too spread out...this new place; what shall I attempt to farm them with? The only other lvl 20 I have is a necro. I do 55 on her, think that would work?

55 would be your best bet i think, from what i've seen when i was fighting through there solo on my ranger just to uncover the map, the Fog Nightmares don't spawn in groups of 1-2, more like 3-5 at a time.

Very high damage from Touch of Agony and Dark Aura, damage that ignores armour, stances, shouts but not protection. I've also found out that they drop a large amount of Monstrous items.

Um... a 55 monk would get killed by touch of agony faster than a cat in a microwave. The touch skills ignore protective spirit.

What a waste, the imps outside LA drop charcoal quite abit. I have 30 pieces sitting in storage. Thats just about 10 runs or so through them. 10-15 minute runs with barrage

This is complete and utter nonsense ^^

shadow damage: ignores armor, but not protection (as originally posted by Thrawn). Only thing you have to worry about is life steal, which afaik they dont use, and degen (swamps poison and bleeding) heh plague touch ftw.

edit: I've been corrected on the use of life steal, yes mark of subversion, yes ow.

There is a boss that uses Life Siphon amidst the Black Curtain Fog Nightmare crew, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I can't remember but I think max regen is 10? If so then if you've got a +4 Mending and a +8 Breeze then Siphon will only bring your regen down to +9.

If the fog nightmares still use Mark of Subversion, then yeah, a 55hp'd die pretty quickly, as that's health stealing, which ignores prot spirit...

this IS of concern, yes...heh didn't know they used that. I've last gone through those monsters many moons ago and didn't remember they used that. I actually dust farm in UW, FoW and tombs, but its admittedly a sideline and I just convert to vellum whenever I get a big pile.

i'll try to post a picture later when i get home but the "The Black Curtain" is your best run.... about a 30 second run or shorter to the spot and there's groups of 3 and depending on your build you can farm them pretty fast. I can't beat the boss (nightmare) so i just rezone and repeat. 50 to 100 each run, if i don't die.

Yeah, i believe that's called Kessex Peak. Not too sure. It's the zone leading up to Galrath's place when doing the Villiany of Galrath. I was doing some dust farming there this morning with a traps. kinda slow and troublesome with those darn reed stalkers popping up. I got about 100 dust per run (did about 3 runs). Those nightmares drop upwards to 38 piles of glittering dust!

I'm not sure how mark of subervion effects 55hp monks now, there was an update concerning the vampiric effect it has, but when i last took a 55hp to nightmares MoS wasnt a problem as prot spirit put a stop to it.

I did 30 runs within "riverside" try'n to bust the myth if they droped ecto, and they dont(beta info that plauges the web still to start rumors). They did drop alot of dust... a few grapes and golds but that was pre-fix for mark of subversion... never got any of these monsterous items.

12 fog nitemares a run * 30 runs, 360 fog nitemare kills... all my experiance doing it

55ing nightmares is possible u jsut need to be VERY careful to time spells between marks of subversion, i found that precasting holy veil to ditch the amrk as u need to cast works
